He's fun to follow, as his humor and enthusiasm for games makes him often seem more like another fan of games than a developer. Today, he had an exchange about the possibility of putting a Gears of War character -- perhaps Clay Carmine -- in the legendary Mortal Kombat fighting franchise. Today, Bleszinski retweeted an exchange with one of his followers, who had commented "Clay Carmine for exclusive 360 character in the new MK would be an AWESOME contrast to Kratos." Bleszinski responded by saying, "I agree! Midway, where u at?" before catching himself with the followup comment, "Oh yeah, Midway dead." After another follower suggested he take the matter up with Ed Boon's Mortal Kombat team or Warner Bros. Games, the current corporate home of the MK franchise, Bleszinski responded again, "Yeah. darkniks Posted December 12, 2010 Report Share Posted December 12, 2010 Don't u think its a little odd a gears character appearing in MK, I mean Kratos was a definitely a perfect match but gears of war is shooter game & MK is fighting game so how Gears character = MK character, different genre, so wats Marcus, Dom, or RAAM gonna do, sub-zero coming to kick Marcus's a*s & when he comes Marcus shoots him down & his Fatality will be like wat, ripping off sub-zero with his chainsaw which is somehow attached to his gun they aren't gonna do hand-to-hand kombat exactly, has anybody seen a gears character do hand-to-hand kombat in any of GoW1 & 2 ? posiedon Posted December 13, 2010 Report Share Posted December 13, 2010 They can always customize the character to do hand to hand combat and using the chainsaw gun can be like a power which is used by the character... if they want to do is...they can easily do... alot of creative moves can be made... imagine using the chainsaw gun into your opponents stomach and then lifting him left and right or throwing him around.... But if it happens, I would prefer Locust queen over any other character. Plus they haven't shown any of her moves in Gears, so, in MK they can define her character the way they want. Have you played DOA4 ? They added a Female Spartan in it and she was pretty bad a*s.. They shud add Ram or Queen imo....or Skorge becoz of dual chainsaw ... WTF? How the hell does Carmine compare to Kratos? Clay Carmine's arms are bigger than Kratos arms... ..He is extremely badass and strong in Gears 3..
