SC did the same thing In Soulcalibur 2: XBOX guest character- Spawn(from comics), PS2- Heihachi(Tekken series), Gamecube- Link(Legend of Zelda series) In Soulcalibur 4: Guest- Star Wars characters for both XBOX 360 & PS3 In Soulcalibur Broken Destiny: Guest- our Ghost Sparta, the god of war Kratos himself for the PSP but the good thing about SC was that even if u remove the guest characters, the game still rocks, every character's moves were gr8 but Mortal Kombat though its one of my favourite fighting games but the game has some flaws which always prevents it to be the best fighting game well lets hope its better than MK vs. DC universe (that was a big blunder) & I hope Kratos, GoW, & COD characters rock in this game Next guest character shud be Radec from Killzone Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...

Shadoken Posted December 13, 2010 Report Share Posted December 13, 2010 And have you noticed after Soul Calibur 1 ... the Soul calibur series never ever lived up to the original title.... i wonder what was missing now.... its not like am against guest characters... i just feel they should focus on the gameplay more rather than waste their resources and time of characters like these which are just gimmicks to get some more quick bucks... and instead focus on making the game better , they have to do alot if they want to top or keep up with SSF4 , Tekken ...etc i actually did not mind MK vs DC it was kinda good Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...

Also i am not saying these chars will ruin the game... am saying it doesnt look like the new MK might turn out well coz they are focusing more on sh*t like this.... They initially said the game will have depth and balance like SF... but so far in most trailers its not exactly been good.. and now this..... Does adding some bonus characters mean that that game can't be good? This is 2010, and a large majority of gamers nowadays weren't even around when the last good MK was released. You're not going to make these people buy the game by simply reviving it, because these people won't know what is there to revive. If they use a couple of bonus characters to create that interest rather than completely changing the gameplay, I'd prefer that any day, And speaking of COD in MK, from what I gather, that's just a picture of West, Zampella, Boon, and Cliffy together, and what's written is just a witty caption for it, not confirmation of either COD or GeoW being in the game. Seriously, if West and Zampella were invovled in MK, they certainly wouldn't be putting a COD character in it. They got fired, remember? And if they do have an exclusive character for the Xbox, I really hope it isn't Carmine. It took me a minute to even remember the guy's name. Shadoken Posted December 13, 2010 Report Share Posted December 13, 2010 LOL .. am definitely gonna try out kratos when he comes ... the thing is after UMK3 the games that came were mostly like.... initially cool coz of all the features and what not.. but a few months later nobody was playing it.... That story mode thing they added in MK:deception was cool but it would have been better if they improved the gameplay ... didnt even touch that game after a while :/ basically... make the game last long rather than just have an initial hype and then die... doing both right would be cool ..hope they get it right @aftrunner ...oh wtf.. i was sure i compressed that thing to 500kb :| Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...

But if it happens, I would prefer Locust queen over any other character. Plus they haven't shown any of her moves in Gears, so, in MK they can define her character the way they want.
