pixeljunkie
7 Yes i had connected to a 29" CRT HDTV(480i,576p,1080i) using composite...this was in KSA After bringing it home again to a 29" regular TV,purchased a HDTV after a few months..using it with a HDMI cable(b4 it died that is) thanks dude the reason why i'm asking this guys is cos both of your problems could solve a lot of issues in future updates me thinks the ps3's video autodetection mode is a bit buggy and sony's R&D haven't tested it out on all monitors so any form of input is helpful the problem has something to do with SD resolution switching between 576i/p and 480i/p, i.e, composite and component video output modes apart from rana10 and snake is there anyone else on the forum who has used the ps3 ONLY on an LCD tv ever since the day they bought it? AtheK
nah,no luck...i even tried changing the power cables...still no luck...goes to the XMB sometimes( shows the mgs "HDD not found" b4 giving 3 beeps Also wtf is the clicking sound!! Snake: Your hdd is fried...clicking sound is the direct indication....it is not a video issue Check this: http://askbobrankin.com/hard_drive_makes_a...king_sound.html Your best bet will be a change of hdd and in case any of your frnd has a PS3 swap it with his to test.... And 3 beeps: 3 Beeps: Base 64K RAM failure Explanation: There is a failure of some sort within the first 64 KB of system memory. Diagnosis: The first bank of memory probably has a bad memory chip in it somewhere. It is possible that there is a failure related to the motherboard or a system device as well. Try changing HDD it shud fix the issue
