Hot-Drake-Pixel
Well,if even the grey market guys cant fix it,i will even lose my warranty!!Guess i'll ask my frnds if they have a spare HDD Oh and thanks for all the help till now pixel!! I have a spare laptop 20gb HDD. The laptop died on me(which I suspect due to power unit) last year. If you could help me recover the data from the HDD somehow, then HDD is all your's absolutely for free. Coz the data inside the HDD much more valuable to me. Laptop had windows 2k professional. Not sure about the file system. I took the HDD out, out it inside a 2.5" casing. My new laptop(with XP on it) identifies the usb device but no drive shows up under explorer. Thats where I am stuck. Can anyone else help me out here? Appreciate it, really.

It does appear under device manager as USB Mass Storage Device. It also showz that 'remove hardware' icon under system tray. HDD makes whiling noise. But still no sign of drive under my computers. I just hooked the HDD to a standard USB 2.5" casing. There was a wide 30-40 slot pin male-female involved.

AtheK
ys you will need to format snake... @pixel Junkie: i connected my PS3 to LCD directly....i have samsung bordeaux 37" it connected on SD 0utput but immediately said HDMI connection is available and set it to 1080i and it was showing me 480p, 720p, 1080i, 1080p so you tried connecting it to an LCD monitor when you fired up your ps3 for the 1st time when you used SD o/p what were the listed res? this was just before you changed to HDMI-HDMI cable No idea mate never went and checked....
