rana Posted February 3, 2008 Author Report Share Posted February 3, 2008 i bought a brand new hdmi cable(sony) and tried but of no use, still havin that problem. i called sony(india) and they said they will check the system (for RS 1250) and tell me what the problem is. i am givin them my ps3 to them on wednesday. i hope the problem will be solved , otherwise i will sell this one(if anyone buys :shock3: :shock3: ) and buy an indian ps3. akashkhannabond007 Posted March 8, 2008 Report Share Posted March 8, 2008 my brother had the same problem he went so sony in lajpat nagar(delhi) they asked him to get his receipt and they give him a brand new ps3 40gb but he didnt have any receipt as he had got from grey mraket and the person in grey market told that it would take a week or so to repair the ps3. but HE HAS NOT GIVEN THE PS3 TO THE GREY MARKET Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...

I was using the HDMI-->DVI converter and a DVI--DVI cable for the display on my monitor and using the a/v cable for the sound. Everything was working perfectly. But now there is no display when i connect it using the hdmi port. i get sound only. I tried resetting but nothing happened. I get the display when i connect the PS3 to my SDTV via the a/v cable. rana Posted April 4, 2008 Author Report Share Posted April 4, 2008 guys , i have given my ps3 for repair at the shop which MT ha posted in the other forum.its been a couple of weeks and he called me and said that he replaced a part in the motherboard and and also replaced the lens of the drive(the drive too was not workin). he says that it will cost me about 7300 bucks :shock3: . will it really cost that much or is he makin me a bakra? I have been using my HDMI cable for atleast 2-3 months now (before on my bros lcd tv and now mine) poor PS3 not eaten anything since 3 months now...
