kunallkw
yoyoyo ... PSN downloads give me about a 10% lag in the bandwidth ... so i donn call it slow .... nehow the FW updates suck big time :roflroll2:
HundredProofSam
PSN download speeds are slow. There is no doubt about that. This is especially noticeable when downloading system updates / game updates or large sized demos. Online gaming is fine. that used to be an issue for me earlier.....but demos download fast now on PSN, almost same speed as PC....had both Mirror's Edge and FIFA 09 demos (800mb each) in 3-4 hours each and not disconnections either and when did MT dump HSP and shack up with TB? peace
rAgHaV
i used to get 1/10th of my downloads speeds when i was using wireless then i switched to ethernet n got full speeds.. then after few days i got an idea to change my ps3's MTU and then when i changed it to 1400 instead of automatic i was getting full speeds on wireless and since then im using wireless edit - am able to download even game updates at full speeds.. not system updates though.. While setting up a network connection on ps3 there is an option you'll see which says automatic MTU or manual MTU, choose manual MTU and enter the MTU which is set in your router, if you dont know what MTU is set in your router type 192.168.1.1 in your browser and go to wireless or advanced settings of your router there you'll find it. If you still dont find it then try putting 1400, 1492, 1500 (in your ps3's network settings) as these are the usual ones, choose the one with which you get max speeds. And those who are wondering how Home is, it is awesome. If you are not sociable or dont like talking/flirting with strangers then Home is not for you.
