Hot-Drake-Pixel
Who's crying? My logic is simple. If I'm downloading software today, I should be getting the latest version. Whats the point of making me download a 86MB setup file for ver 0.98, having me install it, and then immediately making me download a 77MB patch for ver 1.x that was already available at the time of the original download ? If your fanboyism doesn't allow you to see plain logic, then my reply is in vain. But I'm still posting it in the faint belief that you are not beyond redemption yet. Oh!! And I still cant connect to HOME. Looks like Sony really has it in for me fanbots

rAgHaV
Home is just like The Sims i guess and when 100 million people have bought that game then i think they haven't bought it cause they cant do that stuff in real life..
Hot-Drake-Pixel
I'm still waiting for invitation, stupid Qore is useless hahaha, I got it without Qore. @MT: its just a bad coincidence for you. Home released another patch today itself. Its asking me to download the same. Since you never had it before you will have to download the base and then the patch. The JACKAL
Nope i dont know which connection you have. But you're obviously blaming sony for the slow speeds. And my comment about PSN not being the problem does have something concrete to back it up. And thats the dl speeds almost everyone besides you are experiencing, including me athek and lot of other people. stop going emo cause im countering what you said. Get used to it, you're not always 100% correct no one is. u are wrong here, i remember when i got a ps3 i had to get an update for 2.50 to register at psn. The update was only 135 mb or sumthing but i let it download on the ps3 itself. for 2 hrs it was still at 35%. Then i came to the psn thred and asked athek to tellme what to do. He sent me the link to that sony website and so i started to download it on the pc itself and the whole update got downloaded in less than 1 hr. I hav a 512 kbps BSNL connection and 135 mb def wont take 2 hrs even on a 256k connection here is where i posted my query on GI

MarketTantrik
Damn , me too! The very same error I presume. Turns out the HOME servers were down for updation, but obviously we were supposed to figure this out by deciphering the cryptic error codes that were being thrown up. When will M$ and Sony learn to show proper messages instead of just displaying an error code? If you can show an alpha-numeric code, you can bloody well add a few extra words stating the reason. Anyways, it was up and running this morning. Spent five minutes toying with my avatar and the furniture in the apartment. My first reaction to the apartment and the view was TDU

BuffMonkey
If the counter was justified and had a leg to stand on, the reaction would have been different. But as someone who doesn't know my connection or setup, you passed a comment on it which was totally unjustified, unwarranted and didnt actually prove anything I had said wrong. Talk about hate speech. It was as justified as your hate on PSN and thanks for proving my point At least the thread is seeing some activity this way lol MT & TB - new kings of offtopic In almost every thread baby. Ever since TB put his Wii stash on the TP. 3 more days before i PM you regarding the separate sale. Damn !!! I dont seem to be able to connect to the HOME servers. Keeps asking me to retry after a few minutes. Sony hates you now So you play videogames for a sole reason to do stuff you can't do in real life? LOL. And you're interacting with real world people in Home, not AI girls like in Sims. So if you're a jerk in real life, you'll fail to score in Home as well. epic lolz
MarketTantrik
and thanks for proving my point Nope, not seeing it yet. And the download of the setup file (80MB) was really slow. Took more than an hour, but the patch (77 MB) was super quick. So PSN download speeds are still shaky. I must admit HOME looks really intriguing, but you will need a fast connection to derive maximum enjoyment because every location is being downloaded separately as and when you enter it, and the location data file are big. (relative to Indian connection speeds).
Death Stryke
With the high levels of gfx in Home, I doubt most indian broadband connections will be able to enjoy it completely with fluid movements. Anything less than a 512kbps will be getting slideshows only

Anything less than a 512kbps will be getting slideshows only Thats not how it works. Once a location is loaded, it will be just like playing a game off your HDD, so everything will be smooth. Travelling to other locations for the first time will initiate a download in the background and you will be free to roam around the current location till the new location's data has been cached. Correct. Thats how it works. And thank God you dont have to download it again and again. One time download for every new area or movie you hit. Hot-Drake-Pixel
I find the archade games bit boring and the bowling is aweful. It will be nice if they can include HVB as a paid area in Home.

Death Stryke
You mean, even after u end your session those locations will continue to remain in some sort of cache? That's cool, but wont it be eating a lot of HDD space?
