Yup, and that proves the point that you can't go wrong with any three. I made the recommendation based on the available stock in my region and his exact requirements (it was an LED).

 

And no, I don't use my monitor with the ps3 since I already have a hall with a dedicated lcd tv and a HT system for gaming. But both options are good.

Did you check the price of that monitor? Alienware products are extremely high end should be some three times costlier at the very least.

 

And LCDs are being phased out of the market with the better LED counterparts, so it would be better to go for the latter since its prices have come down (at least in the monitor segment).

That comment abt no PC games was for this year.IMO,2010 was not a good year for PC gamers except for BFBC2,Metro 2033,ME2.Black Ops is better on the 360.

But,yeah 2011 is looking 10xxxxxx better than 2010 with Crysis 2,Rage,ME3 & many more.

benq lcd is better,led ones r not worth extra price....27 inch would be too harmful to ur eyes...dont go for more than 24 i suggest...

Alienware destop is like 200k (total) but only Alienware OptX AW2210 (Monitor 3d ready) is 16K and benq, dell , samsung,acer all are also on the same range.

 

DAMN, this is getting tough choosing good HD monitor.

Also need to get the processor etcc.

true. and Dell HD monitors are difficult to compare. And BenQ VW2420H (15.5k) pretty good deal. has poor integrated speakers (acc to reviews). I mean does that even matter. i can still connect externally speakers, right??

Yes e2420HD got 2x(USB,HDMI) also inbuilt speakers which is really good for that price.

 

Also i found out BenQ EW2420 24" LED Backlit LCD Monitor OMFG! This monitor is so f00k1ng amazing. It also has 2usb,hdmi,speakers,jack also got 3000:1contrast and is priced at 20k in india.

If it is 8xx then socket is LGA 1156 if it's 9xx then socket is LGA 1366

 

And you want cheapest or best performance ??
