It is enough if you dont want to play beyond 3 yrs, coz it going to get RRoD anyways. So you need warranty cover for x360 as long as you want to enjoy playing with it. ghb Posted January 8, 2008 Author Report Share Posted January 8, 2008 update : after calling up sony customer care for the 6th time i was made to talk to an engineer who said that sony doesnt do repairs of its own PS3 (even though i mentioned some local shops doing it to which he happily added "...that will void the warranty")...they wont repair it themselves and they wont let me repair it ..such awesome ppl they're finally offering me a 40GB ps3 and the refund of the rest of the amount (5k). which wud have been ok had i not bought legit PS2 games to be played in their upscaled glory does this sound like a fair deal? it didn't to me...it feels like they shoving an inferior product to my face...i am seriously considering approaching the consumer court against sony india p.s.: does anyone here have any contact details of any management guy in sony computer entertainment? There are loads of people who want to buy legit ps2 games on the forums. You can try your luck over there. I am not sure how a company goes about replacing a product that it has discontinued with. I know for a fact that Apple does as it keeps a low amount of stock of discontinued products incase it has to do a replacement. I got my iPod mini replaced even after it has become discontinued. Do this ? Threaten them and ask them for more compensation. Either they can refund you for the ps2 games or give you cash equivalent to that much or send u some free games or you basically threaten them for not being able to send u a replacement + harassment. Ask him to get you one from that shop as replacement. Me too interested in ur PS2 collection. Let me know the games you have, if you r disposing them.
