ghb Posted January 10, 2008 Author Report Share Posted January 10, 2008 update : i had spoken to one of their engineers on my 6th call who said that there are no more 60gb PS3s anywhere. i went to 3 shops today and all 3 of them had the 60gb SKUs. i called up sony agin and then said someone will contact me (here we go again ) p.s.: my emails to atindriya bose and sony india head's secretary have gone unanswered. so have my complaints reported on their website Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...

ghb Posted January 10, 2008 Author Report Share Posted January 10, 2008 update : ok finally someone did call...one of their regional heads and offered me my money back so that i can buy one of them 60gb units myself she also mentioned that there is a chance that sony would be bringing out more SKUs other than just the 40GB ones to fill in the space for the 60DB units and that i was unfortunate to have this happen to me in the period when only the 40GB unit is available i should be getting a written letter assuring me about my full refund my tomorrow after which i plan to go buy another 60GB unit (they sucked me in ) Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...

By the 40 gig model for 25k and use the rest to buy a ps2 to play those games. I am sure you don't wanna go ahead and buy the 60 gig again since its filled with problems. Keyofx Posted January 12, 2008 Report Share Posted January 12, 2008 ghb, I'm happy things finally worked out for you I would like to add that I've lived with Sony products all my life (yes, ALL), all the way back from when we had a betamax player and a push button 8 channel tube trinitron. My dad swears by Sony and as far as gaming goes, my PS2 has been with me 5 years and it still plays anything I throw at it without complaints. What we're seeing here is a combination of bad luck at poor 'ol ghb's end as well as Sony India's incompetence (stressed for extra effect).
