In fact, apart from the 5k that I will get back from Sony, I also got a 10k bonus this month from our company for being Employee of the Quarter and I will get more as year end bonus, So not sure whehter I should get another console (XBOX 360/PSP) or I should just spend the amount on getting a GPU upgrade for my PC. I had given my ps3 40GB Grand turismo pack for replacement on 11th June 2008. It had problems in reading blu ray discs. they called me back saying that they dont have any stock of ps3 40 gb. can anyone believe this. I have totally lost trust in sony products!!!! Zeamus Posted July 16, 2008 Report Share Posted July 16, 2008 Now I'm the new victim to sony's faulty PS3s. few days back while playing MGS4 the PS3 just gave up and kept on showing a big question mark and a CD symbol blinking alternatively. After that ma PS3 didnt read any disc, let it be Blu-ray or DVD. Contacted the customer care and they gave there Touch-point address. I Checked in there they took just 2 mins and told me that PS3 is not repaired and you will get a replacement in 10-15 days. They gave log Number n all that. Lets see what happens. I'm still waiting for my replacement since 4th...but guess as ur in Delhi..u shud hopefully be getting...it much sooner. !!! BTW.. i too had got the question mark on the cd symbol..but then i juz wiped the disc with the clean cloth..and then it started working !!! But then later few weeks. i got the SOD !!! I asked at the service center " Where the replacement will come from? " They say it comes from Mohan Cooperative, Mathura Road. Its nearby to delhi, still lets see how much time it takes to come.. I receive the FIRST Call from Sony care !!! and guess..wot...the chap says that my piece is arriving today...@ the warehouse and will be shipped to the service center tomorrow..and I will be able to collect it 2morrow evening.
