NTSC and PAL

Hi guys.As i understand it,TV's in India use PAL coding.I want to buy Oblivion, which is NTSC supported.will i have any problems running the game on my console.or does it depend on the television you are using(Samsung LCD)or are PAL supported versions of Oblivion available.

both of you are getting confused.

 

your console with output a PAL signal (50Hz or 60Hz) at SD resolutions period. the copy of oblivion you wanna buy might be a NTSC-UC version and hence the NTSC logo on the game, but as the game is region free, you need not worry about it.

You can get the NTSC-J GTA4 there.

 

The PAL GTA will work on your console too.

i thought gta 4 was region locked as i already own a pal copy but did not opean the cover as if doesnt work i would return it

the pal copy of your gta4 supports ntsc-j(japan).i am having that and i am playing it on my console.you can also check the region of a game disc by xdvd mulleter.

hey sorry guys im getting a lil confused here...i have a pal system n wen i got a ntsc game it said region locked,so if i get gta 4 ntsc u it wont work here in india on pal system right?

Thats right. GTA 4 NTSC/J version will work on PAL consoles though. And region free games like assassin's creed will work too. Apart from this you can play any game that is listed PAL on your console. change the console settings to PAL 50 or 60 according to your tv. I have to say that when playin on a SDTV text will be difficult to read
