Hahaman
what the heck is that?kinda help plz
Kazekage Gaara
does the us version of smg download run on jap n pal wii No. It won't work. The US version of SMG will NOT run on a Jap Wii. It will, however, run on a PAL Wii if you select the English Language, but it will give you double channels. Might, if you use Region-Frii or Brick blocker. what the heck is that?kinda help plz Region-Frii is a software that you can use to change the region of a particular Wii game/ISO, but it wont' work on SMG. Brick Blocker is a software that removes "firmware updates" from a Wii game/ISO so as to prevent it from upgrading your Wii. For example, if you wanna play a PAL game in your NTSC/US Wii and that particular game has a Wii firmware update that will screw up your Wii, then you can Brick Block that ISO and it won't do the update All in all, its a firmware update remover
Hahaman
so u mean i got some pal iso's so if i try to play them it might be trouble for my wii
Kazekage Gaara
so u mean i got some pal iso's so if i try to play them it might be trouble for my wii Yeah. For example, if you play Mario Strikers Charged PAL and you're Wii's firmware is lower than what there is on that disc, then it'll install an update, which was meant for European Wii's. After installation, you will NOT be able to access your Wii's settings menu. You'll get some webpage showing some error. To correct this, you'll need to install the latest update from your OWN REGION. Aka, if you have a Jap Wii, then install the latest Jap update or US update for the US Wii. BUT, if you already have the latest update installed, then an older update from the PAL Disc will not cause you any harm but you MIGHT end up with DOUBLE CHANNELS. Kazekage Gaara
What will be the region and cost of the Singapore Wii?(I know i already asked this in the GC sec but i didnt get a definite answer there)Are any Wii games region free? I did a google search and came to know that Singapore uses PAL for broadcasting, but uses NTSC for gaming Well, I guess you can just check out the box and see whether its NTSC, NTSC-J or PAL. You can of course also ask the guy who's gonna sell it to you. If you're interested in getting it modded, then I would suggest you to get the NTSC/US version. US version of Wii games are quite easily available on the internet, and from what I've seen, US gets all the games fairly early Previously, almost all NTSC/US games worked just fine on NTSC-J consoles but recently, Nintendo has stopped doing this for example with Super Mario Galaxy as the US version will NOT work on an NTSC-J console. Also, AFAIK, none of the Wii games are region free
ceoshubham
Is there a Wii mod whch allows you to play games from all regions?
Kazekage Gaara
Is there a Wii mod whch allows you to play games from all regions? No. There are no Wii mods that will allow you to play games from all regions because so far there have been only drive mods (aka modchips for the DVD drive just like 360 mods). There is partial compatibility for out of region games on the Wii, and its recommended to stick to your own region in case of the Wii because an out-of-region firmware update might just screw up your Wii. Edit: By the way, there is FULL REGION FREE COMPATIBILITY for Gamecube games

K'dash
MT u have Wiikey inside ur Wii? Well i have found a way out...unfortunately its the pirates way... Also i came to find out that my Wii is semi-bricked after Metroid Corruption upgraded my firmware(due to different region 2.20 upgrade)...that will be fixed once the latest japanese firmware (3.1j) gets installed on my Wii...n that could be only done through Galaxy's or Brawl's update...
