ctrl_alt_del
Any idea if I can connect a Wii to my LCD moniter using the standard VGA input jack? And how much does the Wii cost now? Is it a good idea to pick one up or wait for the official release in India? I would go the legal way for all the Wii games, so modding and backups don't concern me. MarketTantrik
^^ The mod doesnt allow that functionality. But it does allow the Wii to play Gamecube games from all regions.
K'dash
does a modded Wii play all region original Wii games? the reason i ask is a distributor in india has signed up to officially import Wii games in India (not the console tho) and he says he's getting them at a pretty good price...but the question is if these games are PAL and the mod doesnt remove region restrictions, its useless for pretty much all Wii owners in India peace No a modded Wii doesnt allow to play all region original Wii games. Wht the mod does is that it makes it possible to play backup dvds of any region by applying some modifications to them. Even if u try to play an original Wii game of a different region, there is a very very high chance that it will semi-brick or totally brick ur console. If this distibutor is going to import NTSC U/C games then that will be great for us! I will be more than willing to buy games from them.

THE DIRECTOR
Datel on FreeLoader: It disables the console from updating firmware Datel's customer support team has revealed a little more information on the upcoming Wii version of FreeLoader. They state that everytime it is used, it disables the console from being able to update its firmware. Datel also issued the complete box art (back and front). "With the announcement of the Freeloader for Wii, more questions have been raised about how exactly the disc will run, how firmware updates will be handled and more. Thanks to an email sent to Datel, more information has surfaced. According to the developers, when a foreign disc is inserted it disables the console from being able to update its firmware. What about future firmware updates? Datel believe that it won't have any effect, but we've emailed Datel ourselves to confirm." http://www.maxconsole.net/?mode=news&newsid=25748
