L.A. Noire

Not really looking for graphical prowess here - am sure everything else will be great - look at RDR.

Come on gramps.

L.A Noire game won't set the world on fire, it should have been released in 2008 or before.

RDR has best visuals for a game of that scale.

Expecting Bondi to meet R* production standard is a big ask and unfair tbh.

I mean watch this, these three and half minutes give the glimpse of what they are capable of. Perfect score, great theme, deep emotions...it's made by R*.

Artistically beautiful. Technically decent. Anything looks good in stop motion esp wide open vistas. Fire up some Oblivion videos on X360 and they look great.

And they don't need great graphics is my point. LA Noire looks a couple of years back because all the screenshots are close ups. RDR close up shots are not good either.

The environments in RDR looked fantastic, not the people. The glitches killed most of the later experience, when you reach Blackwater and Tall Trees.

But yes, riding in the wild west never felt that awesome partly because how well the soundtrack complimented everything else. In my 2 playthroughs I don't remember once taking a stagecoach. The clouds casting shadows, tumbleweeds, canyons etc felt amazing.

I would like to mention Nier here....that game also was artistically brilliant work beside graphics were nice too...but just nice ...

Seriously, for that scale, RDR looked brilliant, I have the slightly inferior PS3 version, and I was awed by the graphics. Sure the character models are not that good, but still the game looks awesome. Just compare the Horse animations of AC and RDR, there is clear difference.

Then I got GTA EFLC for PS3 after playing it on my laptop, and OMG the graphics were horrible on PS3, totally puke inducing. The character models lacked detail, draw distance was poor, shadows were blurry, as compared to PC version.

Now, just imagine how awesome will RDR look if released for PC and played on a beast gaming machine on 1080p. :panic:
