jugz2006
Hey guys this is my first post and I m in serious need of ur help.... I am an avid gamer... I own a ps1, ps2 and xbox 360.... now I want to purchase a ps3..... and thats where the problem kicks in.... I bought my xbox from palika.... Royal palace and have been one of their regulars.... now a ps3 320 gb from royal palace is going to cost me 19.5 k and a 160 gb ps3 from sony centre is available for 19.4 k... which one should I go for... the guy at royal palace is saying it'll b completely billed n with warranty.... So should I trust this guy and buy from there and would the warranty be actually valid or should I go for the sony centre deal..... Pls help as I plan on making the purchase in a couple of days.... how has ur experience been as a difference of 160 gb for just Rs 100 is huge... also wats the failure rate of ps3? Abhishek.
i think u shud go ahead and buy frm palika, n the failure rate of ps3 is low compared to xbox, just take care of it and it will look after ur gaming!!!

Abhishek.
if i may say,i dont think u need 320 gb man, y do u need so much space, ur going to play games from discs any way, n how many movies or songs u r going to store on ps3?? right,if u want a complete legit then go for sony center, if more hard disk space is ur priority then go for palika, its up to u to decide!! akashkhannabond007
Bro go for Sony centre. You can also go for palika since the failure rate of the slm ps3 is very very low but still why take a risk?I had got my 1st ps3 from royal palace only but then after 3yrs it died. It was not the fault of that guy it was the problem with the launch model systems. And how come u getting it or 19.4k ? try a local authorized shop coz they offer around 8-10% disc. on consoles. jugz2006
@akash dude tell me onething when u purchased it from there did u get a proper bill with complete warranty n all? Thats like one of my biggest concern.... @abhishek and jack: will go to croma tomorrow n see what they have to offer...
beb0p
Always buy from a legit source. You can upgrade the hdd of the ps3 later. Its quite simple to replace. Any 2.5" hdd will do.

darkniks
@ jugz2006 I suggest u to buy from sony centre or croma if u r buying from grey market, then there will be no sony india warranty. BTW r u getting move starter kit bundled with 320gb ps3 from palika? in my opinion u shud buy from sony centre or any retailer with sony india warranty card. As for the hard drive, u can upgrade it after buying any ps3 model, its legal that u can upgrade ur hard drive, it will not affect ur warranty
kanbad
either buy it from croma with the extended warranty...else buy it form nywhere with a bill and a year warranty..my suggestion ..save money and buy some accessories with dat
mixke
how much would the croma one cost me? Should be same as Sony Center's price. But, you can buy extended warranty from Croma. One person here got his PS3 replaced under extended warranty though it took him a number of chakkars/phone calls to Croma. Anyways, he got his PS3 replaced! I don't think you would need 320gb right away unless and until you plan to And in case you need extra storage space, you can always upgrade PS3 hdd
jugz2006
thanks for the advice guys..... I dont really have any plans for :naughty: my ps3 as blue ray games are huge and a single game transfer will take atleast 2 - 3 hrs n I cant really waste this much time..... as the backlog of great games is huge..... so I guess legit is the way to go.... @niks no its just the 320 gb... move is for 21k i think... Noctis
You don't have to buy it from Croma for extended warranty. Get it from any legit source and you insure it yourself with any major insurance firm.
