A couple of years ago, you could cover up the cost by buying cheap new 360 games (1.8k with discount), but now thats gone too. Both PS3 and 360 games cost about same. Big Boss Posted January 10, 2011 Report Share Posted January 10, 2011 As someone who got a PS3 2 months ago, I had a similar doubt? It all boils down to two things: Choice of games and Online. Online for 360 is better, but is paid, not everyone can afford to pay for it along with internet. Online for PS3 is slightly inferior, but its FREE. If you are not interested in games like Uncharted series, God of War series, Killzone series, then go for 360. I have always been a PS player, I have PS1, PS2 and PSP. The familiarity with the controller was also one of factors in me going for PS3. Now 360 arcade has high failure rates, but it also has 3 year warranty. But who wants to risk failure? Nobody wants the hassles of RMAing their console. But, the new 360 slims have low failure rates and look sleek. The Slim PS3 have very less failure rates, and I haven't seen any Slim YLOD till now. Fat PS3s over 3 year olds are YLODing now. Also, if you want to buy used games, just check Trading Post of this forum, you can see maximum PS3 games. So if you get a PS3, you get nice deals here, that can be a factor too. If 360 gets good exclusives that interest me, I might get a 360 too in future BTW. Superstar Posted January 10, 2011 Report Share Posted January 10, 2011 Go for xbox 360..PS3 is good for exclusives.But multi plats are better on 360.Kinect has a longer way to go than Move.not to mention far better technology.Xbox Live is only one of its kind.Controller is far superior..i had both the consoles and compared them,found out 360 is better.So,sold the PS3.Majority of the users here use PS3 ,So,will tel you, about PS3 for sure..Google it,and u will find out the truth.. But I love the dance central and Kinect sports coz I played only two games. The technology behind kinect is awesome. Coz we don't have to hold anything (at least dildo kinda thing) to play. But why I took Xbox 360 over PS3 . 1 - PS3 was costlier than Xbox 360 2 - XBL way superior than PSN (that time) Now PSN is not way behind. 3 - Games of X360 were cheaper than PS3 4 - Gears and Halo 5 - Mulitplats look better on Xbox 360 .
