Kojima Productions is hiring for "Next Generation Metal Gear Solid Series Production Staff".

The job listing on Konami's Japanese website (spotted and translated by Andriasang) is sure to interest fans of the long-running stealth series.

The programming category asks for people with experience on "PC/PS3/Xbox360". Under the graphics listing, KP asks for those who are interested in conducting research into next generation CG.

2008's Metal Gear Solid 4: Guns of the Patriots was a PlayStation 3 exclusive. Will Metal Gear Solid 5 be a multiplatform release?

In October last year game developer legend and MGS creator Hideo Kojima tweeted: "Had our first meeting for the next 'A HIDEO KOJIMA GAME' with the core team members today. Some member are also participating on 'RISING' so 10 people total this time. We will have a meeting every morning to discuss planning, testing, research, and scouting. An open environment to talk about important issues and share our dreams and concept for the project."

Was he talking about Metal Gear Solid 5? In July Kojima said in an interview: "For the next game I make, it's either MGS5 or an original game. I only have these two choices."

I read in one interview that kojima thinks every game he makes is his last one so that u could put best efforts for the game :)

What an excellent excuse to backtrack.

Not really. But still.

Well a serious answer then. 1 and 2 are bland as games can be. 3 is the only game in the series that has decent gameplay and at least a semblance of restraint when it comes to story telling. 4 goes back into the territory of 1 and 2.

So all in all if you like good games with good gameplay then 3 is the only one worth getting into. More so even than 4.

4 by itself doesnt make a lick of sense if you have no idea what the story/characters are all about (hell even with 1, 2 and 3 it still makes almost minimal sense to me but I digress). And the core gameplay in 4 is not nearly good enough to make you sit through the game if the story makes no sense. So to answer your question..........dont bother with 4 unless you have played 1, 2 and 3.

That was a serious question :ack:

My stupid PS3 doesn't even have PS2 compatibility :ranting:

Each one of them is the best in their respective generation, you need to play them.

WTF!!! the climax for mgs4 was awsome , and it had u thinking that this was going to be the 'last' MGS game and the fans were in tears for that. Wouldnt be the same if they knew that 3 more mgs games would be coming i nthe next couple of years
