Vip3r
lol , but i have given interviews at tcs, infosys, techmahindra so far.I mentioned exact percentage 59.60. I think they didnt mind a .4% gap I am only interested in higher education and no job... My friends were not that lucky ,,, One was even sacked after joining You were doing btech right? and since you are up for higher education you have to score a good I mean really good position in any competitive exam of your choosing... Most of the time people put in more weightage to that marks only

Quickdraw
Great Initiative MT. Since I am a Senior HR Professional, I 'll be happy to help whenever I can. As for Gaming design course, I have known and hired Game Designer for a Game Development Project (Soldier Of Fortune) from the Art Institute of Vancouver. A degree /course from there is highly recommended. Closer home just to get an experience into it, once can go and take counselling from MAAC , FrameBoxx, FXStudio and try their short term certificate course as you wait to make your showreel for bigger and better universities. You may also see this link for more information: http://www.gamepro.com/article/features/214164/8-highest-ranked-colleges-for-game-design/ I usually get quite worried when I see MAAC mentioned anywhere. I've personally known them to be sub-par. This is just wrong. Totally agree, the only excuse you have is yourself. Its just like life. I too have this problem sometimes. I guess it all depends on when you start taking yourself seriously. Well when I was there it was approximately 18K per year but then again a scholarship did help the process along [i think it was less but I am not sure about the price any more]. If your going ivy-league its of course much more but then again there are always tertiary expenses with living in the cities that those colleges are based in as well. Also, have you done your SATs for Bachelors? And if so what subjects have you done along with it? Actually current graduate level courses at FullSail are around 70-75k US$ for the entire duration. megzworld
^^ It totally depends on how exactly he/she is involved in the particular game design. Is he a programmer, animator, level designer or asset developer ? depending on that he/she should present the showreel. For example an animator will show the in game animation clips which has very limited frames to work on. An asset designer will show you the gaming compatible assets and a programmer should present all technical aspects of the game design, like what game engines he's been working on and how it exactly works. On the other hand if he is a creative designer, as in pre-production person. he could show the character designs, game play, level designes etc. Hope this answers your query. supersim
hey guys need some little advice regarding IIT, so which 1 is better coaching institute- FIIT-JEE or Narayana? You cant go wrong with either as long as you as committed to working hard . The institute will only help you up till a point , the rest of the work you ll have to do with on your own . PS - I joined narayana . It definitely helped me get into a good engi college ( DCE ) could only manage a mediocre rank on IIT exam. My friends were equally divided into Fitjee , Narayana and Vidyamandir.
kunallkw
How good is Narsee Monjee Bangalore ? any member or his/her acquaintances studying at that college ? i seem to be getting calls only from these low profiled branches of high ranked parent college Edited February 10, 2011 by kunallkw
megzworld
^^ Congrats.. Don't worry about it.. If the curriculam and degree is in line with the parent college, and faculty recognised and reputed, there is not much trouble. Try to be a cream.. Top 5% of even an average B-School, gets great placement.. since Institute takes personal interest..as they are also their promotion material for inviting the next batch.. So, extract the best and enjoy.. IIM though is great and aspirational.. it is not the be all and end all for MBA in India.
Mel81x
Actually current graduate level courses at FullSail are around 70-75k US$ for the entire duration. Oh I was talking about my Alma Mater here so it works out to about 85K for the term but its gone up considerably since then and they have moved up a tier since I was there as well. Seeing FullSail at 75K is not a bad edu-investment if you can get in.
shekdown
If MT is reading this, I think I read somewhere before that you said you did your MBA. Im evaluating if I should pursue my MBA now, so I was wondering : i) Where did you do your MBA? ii) How old were you when you entered the B-School? iii) How was the experience? If someone else also knows the answers to these, Ill be really grateful for the answers. Thank you.
godspeed4476
I still dont understand why people do there BE , then MBA and then join as Consultant You'd be surprised to see the number of the engineers and other technical students doing an MBA and then taking up a JOB totally unrelated to their previous qualifications.
