playstation Posted January 22, 2011 Report Share Posted January 22, 2011 Haven't played the POP HD games but I don't think this would be a bad idea if it's on the level of Sly Trilogy/GoW. I wouldn't mind if it is Twin Snakes tbh. Never knew why the game got so much hate. Finished it twice on the GC and the engine still holds up admirably. Sure they added extras in the way of a few more cut-scenes but it still is very much the same old MGS. I think that would be easier to port than MGS1 imho. if you have finished mg4 shadow moses island part...you will know why i want it to be made in completely new powerful engine...specially 1 and 3....MGS1 and 3 have lot of potential...they will look and feel superb in new gen engine ...with todays surround sound and all added ...it will be mind boggling experience again. as for MGS twin snakes ....i agree with both snake and karoo here....i saw the cutscenes ...ah that feel was not there ...it was like Karooo said anime kinda thing to it...which is not snake ..how we know....but it was still cool to see the cutscenes and would have definitely played that game also... had i owned GC... WOW!you are lucky bro........ ....even though i know that in abt 5 years from now on.. they will just be in the shelf ....but still i know owned a classic of that time ...in its original form.... games like Silent Hill Series,MGS Series ,Team ICO,Mass Effect Series ,Tomb Raider series ,Uncharted Series,Halo and gears of war Series (for xbox fans),Devil May Cry Series,Final Fantasy Series(specially 7-10),Gran Turismo Series ,Tenchu Series(specially 1-3),Resident Evil Series(Specially1-3),Zelda series,Dino Crisis(1 and 2) ,parasite eve series,chrono cross series,shenmue series,God of war series....are games of forever.....they may come in new forms in future (remakes and digital) but still people owning the original copy of these will always have something to be proud of IMHO..... They released the MGS Essentials pack (all three games) a couple of years ago for $50. The whole world bought that. I did, and I'm not even a fan. Substance is a RE-RELEASE of MGS2: Sons of Liberty with VR missions and extra contents released for the Xbox followed by a release on PS2 and PC....its NOT a new game with a new storyline.
