not to mention that the fact that ziggy is still going for a vita despite having an iPad 2, leaves me to the conclusion that the iPad 2 is horrible for gaming and that I should just get a Vita

By that logic 3ds owners getting Vita should mean its horrible for gaming (which is not the case). If you are not tight on the budget its worth getting both the systems.

I've said it once and I'll say it again, whoever bought the Note is trying to overcompensate for something :P.

Besides Samsung are a turds. They've delayed the Galaxy Nexus launch because they want to sell more Notes to a nation overtly obsessed with size.

oh ya mr fancy gadget...you think you are cool...with that overpriced no good sh*t in your hands :chair:

Get anything that can help you tether or just save up and get the Nexus S from a Vodafone store. Stock Android beats most of the crap that Samsung pulls out with Touchwiz imho.

IMHO ignore this advice unless you want to mod the sh*t out of Nexus S. Stock GB just sucks.

Things that touchwiz adds over GB and half the GB stock users dont have a clue about:

Up to 7 Home screens, with the ability to add and remove screens at will, and drag them around to change the order (pinch zoom the home screen)

Customizable dock area at the bottom of the home screen, allowing you to add/remove up to 4 apps.

'Screen at a time' sideways scrolling apps list

Rounded square backgrounds added to all app icons in the app list (see here)

Pre-installed apps (or apps present during the last OS upgrade) are in alphabetical order, new apps are added at the end in the order they're installed.

List of changes by Touchwiz over Stock GB (some surprisingly basic features are absent in stock GB, which are present in phones since 4-5 years)

Holding the Home button brings up a list of 6 recently used apps, along with a Task Manager button

Holding the Back button and tapping the Home button takes a screenshot on the Galaxy S, for the Galaxy SII use Power+Home

Samsung AllShare (DLNA)

FM Radio (for models with hardware FM radio)

Kies air (shares phone data, and allows control of some phone functions over wifi to a PC web browser, first pre-installed with Gingerbread, available in Samsung app store for older OSs)

Memo (notepad app)

Mini Diary (create diary pages with daily details, memos and photos)

My Files (file manager)

Samsung Apps (Samsung's own app store, offers many useful apps for free)

Task Manager

Polaris Office

Video calls over network

Contacts (History and Activities tabs, linked to Social Hub and social network account updates, showing recent posts by contact and recent interactions with them)

Gallery (interface to select either scrolling wallpaper or static, portrait wallpaper)

Music (Disc View interface added, allowing sideways scroll through albums showing the artwork on a "CD" shape, a host of equilizer presets and custom equilizer setup along with few sound settings)

Videos (extra codec support DivX/Xvid in particular, not seen any type of video format that the phone cant play)

Phone (Call rejection via templates, surprisingly basic feature absent in GB, some advanced call settings)

Browser (A much faster hardware accelerated version)

Throughout most of Europe and Asia, Samsung's Mobile Tracker feature is included in the Security settings allowing remote password setting, tracking and wiping of mobiles registered on the http://samsungdive.com website

^Its not resource hogging at all, atleast TW 4 on S2 and Note. There are so many basic features absent in Stock GB that its not even funny. Even 5 year old phones had those features, which are used daily. The stock GB of Nexus S was overhyped to fullest. ICS is different story, its now that stock Android can be called as a complete all round phone OS, though still missing some features.

And if you had problem with the UI, you could have used 1 of the 100 good launchers out there.

Oh and go Wi-Fi. The download caps on 3G are pretty fail. Plus you'd still need Wi-Fi to play online.

You need Wi-Fi to play online, what shaggery is this? Also with the 3G model do you get the sim with the console or you have to buy on your own?

Hey Videocon started it "bada hai to behtar hai" OMG now the Bada OS makes sense !! :O

Athek takes out the Note, "Never Mind" :P
