Jade Raymond of Ubisoft said that the company doesn’t have a large amount of confidence for the game. Aftrunner Posted February 1, 2011 Report Share Posted February 1, 2011 I dont know why you guys think its a bad thing. Yeah sure one reason for it being XBLA/PSN might be that the game sucks. But the more likely reason is that the game is not the usual FPS/TPS cinematic shooter and its a bit risky and unusual so therefore they dont wanna bet too much money on it with a disc release. Right Posted February 1, 2011 Report Share Posted February 1, 2011 I think Ubi learned the lesson from Pure Futball. No point going retail for games which have written "Budget" all over them...then pricing is a big factor here, you wouldn't like to start at $60 and end up seeing it on 25$ by end of the month, and then see them ride into oblivien by the end of the next. You can rather start at 15-20$ from beginning and sustain for a while. Downloadble is WTG for such titles, lesser middle-men and better shares off the revenues. I'll quote the source link that Zodak initially posted: I Am Alive, which was announced in 2008 under the auspices of Ubisoft just released online and in the course of this year. She said that J. Raymond of the Toronto branch of Ubisoft Jeuxvideo and adds that Ubisoft does not have much of a degree of confidence, and therefore the game will be released digitally only on Xbox Live Arcade and Playstation Network.Update: Reportedly it was a joke, this game comes out and box.
