Hello Guys,

It's been two months since I bought my xbox 360 and a kinect bundle. It was winter so, the xbox wasn't getting so hot. But yesterday I feel that it got too much hot while playing games. Can anybody gimme a right guidance to keep it cool. I don't have an AC in my room. I've kept my xbox horizontally. So, it's exhausting fan is pointing towards the ceiling.

Guys need your tips on this. Coz now summer is coming.

Thanks.

Icebox.

OT - Get a external cooler fan,Available in Ebay.

It damages Xbox more ...

it blocks the air flow ..which causes more chances of RROD . dont use those inter-cooler fans

Just keep it in a well ventilated area..

Slim aur kaunsa :giggle:

Slim comes with failsafe mechanism...it will shut down your system ,if its gets over heated and slim is very reliable...nothing will happen just keep it away from dust and heat in a well ventilated place :)

You just get one year warranty now. And when you say it gets hot, do you mean that it gives out a lot of heat? If that's the case, then there's nothing to worry about. The new 360 does expel a lot of heat (it's way better than keeping it in), and after a few hours of gaming, it does get really hot. It's normal. It gets that hot even if the room is air-conditioned.

Its good to hear that it has failsafe mechanism. But dust is the problem here. My xbox become very dusty in 2 days. Is there any way I can clean it? I use normal cleaning cloth to clean it. But I think it is not suffice.

Just keep 6 inches of space either side, place it horizontal and not vertical.

Stop worrying and enjoy you gaming you have 3 years warranty.

Okay.. It doesn't have six inches open space all the sides. I will have to take care of it. And I've placed it horizontally.

^^ no slim comes with 1 year warranty i guess...?

I don't know.. may be it is one year only. What should I have to do to get one year warranty? Do I need to register it somewhere?

BTW Thank you all for replies and suggestions.

Great.. to hear that.. 3 years for RROD. I hope I don't need to get that warranty.

I am sorry about that. Mod, please move this thread.

Wow.. Nice. I really didn't think that. Yeah it gives out a lot of heat. I hope that would be normal and I can play games without worrying.

thank you guys.

best solution..to reduce the heat is install the games on HDD.....Get two scan disk or or hp 16gb pendrive...

install full game on hdd and then play it from pendrive.......

Disc drive will not spin that means less heat and less power consumption ..Better load times.....

i install all my games on hdd.....
