Cover it up with thick cloth when you are not using it........

Dude my core 360 is 3 yrs old and still brand new white ......no dust nothing .becoz i cover it up when iam not playing on it....

.Same with PS3 & psp both are in brand new..condition. no dust nothing....

All games disc are also in mint condition....... :)

My PC cabinet has dust filter....so no dust inside the pc cabinet as well :P

Yup... Yup.. I always cover it too with a cloth while I am not playing it.

best solution..to reduce the heat is install the games on HDD.....Get two scan disk or or hp 16gb pendrive...

install full game on hdd and then play it from pendrive.......

Disc drive will not spin that means less heat and less power consumption ..Better load times.....

i install all my games on hdd.....

I've all the games installed on HDD. I am playing it from there only.

Cool. I like that feature.

Xbox 360 slim comes with One year Warranty only officially.

There is no 3 yrs warranty for RROD like the fats ones had ..

MS India gives lifetime warranty though . :P

I love MS India :kisstogether:

Life time warranty for RROD in india? Are you kiddin'?

wait a min! title says you want it to get hot! well, use microwave oven in that case! Stand back, or you might hurt yourself during the heating process.

I usually keep it on the floor with the fan on. No worries. Btw where do you keep your Xbox? On the floor?

I've kept it in my computer table. It has three side open. Back, Front and right side. On the left side there is almost 2 inch space.

Bro, covering it is gud but don't do that right after gaming. :nono:

Give some time for the device to cool off.

Yup.. I wait for it to be cool down and then I cover it up. I always do that.. Thanks mate.. this is really a good advice.

@All PS3 Owners who are posting in this thread regarding brick and all that stuff.

I am gonna ignore you guys. Coz I know both the console get hot while gaming. Some of my friends own PS3 slim too.

Not kidding ..

It's reality .

And keep u r console in horizantal position .

And keep it on a table so that ventilation isnt blocked.

Keep it below the ceiling fan.

Even get a table fan if u can , it helps a lot

I think what Zee is saying is that for the RROD on the old consoles you get unlimited warranty. Its supposed to be 3 years out in the rest of the world but here they will replace it even if its out of that period. Not sure personally but I have heard of people who got theirs replaced after the warranty ran out.

Of course mine is now in its 4th year so I guess I am about to find out first hand. :P
