Chaztin
Whenever I try connecting to update Warhawk, net gets disconnected ( my whole router restarts itself ) and thereby shooting me off PSN. I tried it 4-5 times with no positive results... Plus my Warhawk disc is getting on scratch every time I insert it, the scratch is approx half a centimeter thick ( but mild ) and one of em covers whole radius of disc... I played God of War 2 and Uncharted too, there is no issue with those to games, and neither those discs r getting any scratch issue.... my question... 1). What is problem here? 2). Does Sony provide disc replacement like MS for Xbox games?? kindly reply asap...

vinitwins
was your warhawk copy distributed by milestone? milestone is officially importing and distributing the game in india, but i've seen many parallel imports of warhawk in the grey market at a similar price point. In my experience, router restarts normally happen when the router is set to use one of the "enhanced" protocols like Super-G (108 Mbps) or "Xtended Range" features (Netgear routers). Another reason could be that the PS3 is flooding the router with packet requests but the wireless link strength is weak.

I had opened couple of sites on my laptop and PS3 too was trying to download smthing. I will try updating my router software...
lastAvenger
well. As MT pointed out there is an issue with the PS3 flooding the router with the packets. You could disable the uPnP in router and just forward the ports under port forwarding. Simple thing to do is to check the logs of the router and please give more info about the make of your router and as far as i know there is no warranty on Blu-ray. I am assuming you are using the wireless part of the router ? Btw it seems Warhawk uses these ports : TCP 10070 - 10080 TCP 10060 UDP 10029 Forward each one of them and disable uPnP. If it still doesn't work out. Change the Nat settings, forward the ports and disable uPnP. Its definitely due to uPnP as its storming your router with excess crap packets. Let me know if it works out
Chaztin
My problem went away after a firmware update....signal strngth to my PS3 is 100% so that isnt an issue the disc scratching and network problems are not connected to each other.....chaz, have UPNP (universal plug and play) turned off on the router and PS3.....i did that and firmware update at the same time.....either could have retified my problem peace Thanks man , I did as said here, and problem is solved now. But NAT type is showing Type 3, and that many features wld be unavailable. btw, do we get warranty on BR games??

lastAvenger
Does the game load ? I mean can you see the studios and all like you do when you insert any game or is it like as soon as you inset the disc it just sits there doing nothing ? If yes to the latter then i can positively say its not the router.
Chaztin
Its the latter one buddy, as disc is inserted, TADAA, nothing happens....Filly suggested reupdate the game....i am doing that right now, lets see what happens ( coz once the game showed curropted data, so that might be the prob ).
