Activision and EA are always looked as cunning publishers zzzzzzzz

from what i am seeing these days...EA has nicely changed its image...it is much much better publisher...not saying they are completely clean but deifinitely not like Sucktivision.....specially for us Indians EA is great....games come here fast....awesome prices...contests....I dont think any other Big publisher does anything like that here??

that's a possibility. it's also possible that they realized that blizzard and wow (or any of their ips) are a gold mine and they didn't want to harm the goose that lays the golden eggs. we'll never really know right?

Not too long ago, Guitar Hero was a gold mine. It was a pop culture phenomenon. Megan Fox was playing it. :P Look at it now. Give it a couple of years and CoD will join it.

Indians love EA very much

Their prices are really great especially that of PC games

U guys forgot the fact that EA has a online pass for multiplayer. Also, they have been neglecting PC versions lately. No PC demo for Bulletstorm.Delayed PC MP demo for Crysis 2.Hot Pursuit didn't have AA.Regarding PC game prices,Take-Two has much better pricing even at release dates.GTA,Mafia II for 500,Bioshock 2 for 900.

Take-Two also releases Rockstar's PC games a year after console release (GTA) or not at all (RDR), and Ubi also releases some PC versions 6 months late (AC). EA is better off in that sense.

This move might just be interesting for EA's reaction to it, but that's about it. With or without Take Two, Activision is the larger publisher today. Regardless of what popular opinion may be, Activision is getting better at milking franchises while retaining the balance between quality and frequency.

If they do manage the acquisition, we can expect a new chapter in GTA every two years or so, with Rockstar giving us our money's worth. Anyone who thinks there will be a GTA every year is being a drama queen. Sandbox games aren't subject to time frames imposed upon titles like Call of Duty.
