ishan23
It doesnt have any jacks. It is a pc 5.1 speaker so it has the green, black and orange wires.Thats why I was looking into that adapter as it has inputs for both, these 3 wires and on the other side it has 2 rca jacks for the xbox 360 vga cable. Tarun Bhola
i don't think there is any solution... But you need to buy a amplifire which get connected through optical wire.. that will cost around 30,000...
sameuun
buddy, there will be no use setting stereo to 5.1.. u shud get an amplifier with speakers which might cost u around 15 to 20k, also it will save u a lot of present/future headhache. Shantz
It is indeed possible. That adapter is almost impossible to find as I think it used to come with one of their speaker systems and it is discontinued. There are 2 methods to do this: 1. Cheap input/Cheap Output: This takes very less money and output is ok ok (i.e. simply stereo sound will come from multiple speakers). Get a RCA female to stereo female converter. Then buy a stereo Y-splitter (male to female). With this you can connect your 5 speakers to ps3 output. I wouldn't suggest connecting the sub-woofer (and hence one less splitter). If you do want to connect it, just buy one more male-to-female Y-splitter and attach it to one of the ends of earlier splitter. BTW, this is what the logitech adapter does internally. 2. medium input/pretty-good-output: Search for creative DDTS-100 receiver. It is a brilliant device from creative which was discontinued few years back but you can find it used from someone. In US, it sells for very high rates on ebay (orig price was around 100$ but it goes for anywhere between 300-1000$ on ebay. Buying from someone in India might be cheaper as many folks in India don't know this item's worth. I got it for around 6.5k 2 years back). It has multiple digital/analog inputs and you can connect your PC 2.1/5.1/7.1 speakers to it at the output. It also does upmixing using dolby pro-loogic/neo6 etc and the output is awesome. You will hear the correct thumps from the subwoofer, voices from center speaker, etc... I'm using the second setup at my home (but I have switched to using optical input now instead of RCA). Yeah using this method for a week now.The sound quality like you said is ok, but this was the only solution I can use right now until I get a good A/V receiver.
