The campaign will consist of ten to twelve singleplayer missions very much inspired by games like Left4Dead, but with a Far Cry twist to them. The maps are all built from the ground up using assets at hand. Features: Lots of gameplay variety Never-before-seen locations Cinematic cutscenes A unique storyline Custom models A fun mixture of linear and nonlinear level design An exclusive soundtrack by White Noise Wave Ltd Custom sound effects by BombadeerStudios Special weapons courtesy of Fino’s Mod Destructibility and physics elements Release date: Z-DAY is set to be released Q3 2014 and is currently in closed pre-alpha phase. Ne0 Posted March 17, 2014 Report Share Posted March 17, 2014 BUMP.... so quite late to the party, but finished the game yesterday .... unlocked all the towers, freed most of the enemy outposts (some 4-5 were remaining i think) almost leveled up on all my skill trees .... didn't get bored for a moment throughout .... Although very weak in terms of plot and ending was errr, only a marginal improvement over the first game , still it was a good game overall .... and definitely a huge step up from far cry 2 .... which i got bored of in under 2 hours :-/ Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...

Ne0 Posted March 17, 2014 Report Share Posted March 17, 2014 Story isn't really the thing to look out for in this game It's a total nut crack adventure The gameplay is phenomenal Definitely deserved 2012 game of the year award Too bad it wasn't even nominated anywhere yeah, gameplay was awesome, a very satisfying FPS .... the reason i called out on the plot is because of the build up the game gives with all those 'alice in wonderland' references ! Its not really a thriller to give a mind blowing ending, but the story is more about psychological state of Jason and it did a very good job in describing how he turned into a killer.. Vass and hyot are badass villinas too. Their dialogues are memorable. Overall story felt its got nice depth in it Also this is the only game where killing enemies felt like you are actually doing it. Ne0 Posted March 17, 2014 Report Share Posted March 17, 2014 ^^ yeah, the stealth part was played out quite well .... when freeing up enemy posts, I used stealth most of the times .... but the AI detection was implemented poorly, like sometimes even if you are perched on top of a hill, and if you happen to fall in direct LoS, the enemy will spot you without any scope etc .... anyway just minor nitpicks .... the game play was thoroughly engaging .... which ending did you choose ? I just read some of the posts above and I remember that track w.r.t the weed burning mission. Use the signature weapons shredder and the LMG and they make mince meat of anything, almost anything. Have just freed oliver now w.r.t the main story but have completed all the outposts and all the towers in the first island, the second island can't come any sooner.
