Yup ps version has some screen tearin and some texture pop ups but I don think it'll be unplayable !!!!

But gonna wait it out for user reviews especially multiplayer review

If multiplayer is horrible I'd rather rent it out or buy second hand

Why are people so obsessed over multi-player these days.

Play Call of Duly OR BattleField if you want that, don't try to bench other games on the same page. I multi-player is AWESOME = game AWESOME! If no then second-hand.

because these game developers make single player length very short and heavily scripted. Also when you spend this much amount of money you expect a good length in return,so with MP you get good amount of hours even if it has mediocre gameplay....On the other hand skyrim and Bioshock are few exceptions to this statement..so as i said its developers fault only

^^ Every review of FARCRY3 I have checked has not mentioned the Single Player as anywhere close to 'scripted' apart from the narrative-driven-story missions.

The Witcher 2 will be a better example and amongst shooters itself, I prefer Spec Ops The Line (did not need online component) and Splinter Cell series as an epitome of shooters + player-driven multi-player / Co-Op system.

What more? People wont buy GTA 5 is MP is average? I bet no one bought Skyrim or Witcher 2 because it didn't have MP :doh:/>

No RPG can have an online component, if it wants to preserve a strong sense of narrative.

Otherwise it devolves into fetch quests + random turn-based duels / bland third-person shooter (from MMORPG clichés).

Yeah I am waiting for a GTA V multi-player trailer. PHAIL it will be.

^^ Well I am also referring to shooters in general; BattleField is out-an-out multi-player fest (BIG MAPS), there is PlanetSide 2 (ultra-humongous MAPS), Team Fortress (f2p, small MAPS) and Call of Duly (claustrophobic MAPS) but that does not mean I am going to compare FARCRY3 to these games (hint FPS).

A little maturity is all that it needs.

It is like every TPS, open world game has to either be like GTA OR SKYRIM in its premise; imagine what it will mean for different IP's.

Just take the example of max payne 3,its single player campaign is too much scripted and linear, and short,But still MP is worth the money that an average gamer will spend in order to get his expectations fulfilled. So if developers will create such kind of single player gameplay than they will have to attach a good MP in order to expect some sales....

^^ I have not played Max Payne 3. Because I had not played the earlier titles in the past. Some found it good; some OKAY and some outright disliked it. Personal preference, me thinks.

Max Payne never had non-linear campaign, so expecting it to be open world would have been ultra stupid. And MP3 campaign was not short. It was twice the length of average COD campaign and around 3 times the length of MOH campaign. I own the game both on PC and PS3, and never played MP on either, and got my money's worth. It is all in the mindset of gamers these days rather than developers.

If the game is MP heavy, then only decide about getting for MP. Depending on MP for deciding about buying SP focussed games which have tacked on MP is stupid. Thank god 2k have made it clear that Bioshock Infinite wont have MP, otherwise that topic would have been full with idiots asking about how is MP or how bad is MP and other BS that the game does not deserve.

what is the official release date guys?

29th nov or 4th dec?

For us, it will be ~30th November. Expect flipkart.com to deliver it by ~2nd December.

For STEAM users pre-loading will start on 29th; dunno about UPlay! users.
