This game is bearing the brunt for the general frustration with oversaturation of military shooters since pro-reviewers really can't take it out on CoD or BF. Its just the perfect scapegoat. Player reviews and Pro reviews don't match. Take my advice and just visit forums for more opinion or watch gameplay videos. They do actually. User scores across both Metacritic and Gamefaqs are pretty much in-line with the critic scores. The only way they mismatch is if you cherry pick positive comments from people. Most of the players who got fooled into buying this game are saying this game is awesome blah blah because they know that if they don't, they wont have any players to play the game online. I avoid player reviews for MP focussed games.<br /> not really buddy, these people care about thier subscriber base. If they put stupid reviews then they lose credibilty and subscribers. these are serious gaming channels buddy, s this is not a casual business. That is mob mentality. we are talking about dedicateds you tube players n channels. they are all positive about the multi player. in fact 1 of them has said that is the most fun infantry combat since battlefield bad company 2. Dont get me wrong, everyone does it about something they like (I probably have at some time too) but its still not a counter point worth responding to. I am not missing the criticism in fact I'm not buying until they sort of the issues of ps3 version. but they have been many games before too where reviews bombed but the players liked the game. the majority dismisses the game if it requires u to relearn your gameplay. if that is the case with medal of honour then I can understand all the criticism and positive reviews too. may be that is the case, maybe it is not. otherwise how can some dedicated gaming people like it so much if is broken! it seems it is not broken it just has an acquired taste. that is what I can infer from this situation. nash Posted October 26, 2012 Report Share Posted October 26, 2012 I didn't want to comment in this thread until I had actually played the game and now that I have, I'm not getting the hate. It's not the best shooter ever made but it certainly isn't the worst. In fact, on the PC, this game is fkin good looking and has some of the best sound effects in a shooter till date. Gameplay may be cliched and all but gunplay is solid and so far, I've not really got bored (halfway through the campaign). It's a bit disorienting first because you don't know the lay of the land but after a few rounds, you start figuring stuff out. All the maps I played were a lot smaller than BF3 (of course). They were in COD territory with the focus mainly on run and gun action. I'm not even sure taking different classes affects anything but your load out.
