If something like this happened in India then Im sure we would have seen half a million dead at the least. Amazing response by the Japanese government. And RIP for the few who couldn't escape. And RIP for the few who couldn't escape. bro.....it would have been in millions....first thing is that there would be so few building in india that could take 8.9 richter scale earthquake that u can literally count them on ur fingers....so every building almost in the city would have collapsed ....next big issue is population it is so cramped up that hardly anyone would be able to get out or even found a big open space......god forbid it never happens in india but if it ever happens....India is not capable of handling it....
