Parker Posted March 11, 2011 Report Share Posted March 11, 2011 i have experienced many quakes here, they die down. at time of wednesday quake i was in main office building on 16th floor, there was a sudden shock and the sun blinds started hitting the glass. the entire building was swaying and kept swaying for 2-3 minutes. *as i type, there was a tremor again. my ceiling light is swaying back n forth right now* abey dreddy ... jitni time leta hai tuu wahan ke updates type karne mein, utni samay mein aur koi hota toh india ki ticket katwa leta ... toh kab wapas aaraha hai ... Dredd Posted March 11, 2011 Author Report Share Posted March 11, 2011 today it was different. it started normal. i kept working, but it didnt stop. so i went under the desk. it didnt stop. my colleague n everybody went under the desk. helmets are kept under the desk. so are the protein ration packs. put them on. it didnt stop. heart was thudding. cause all this was abnormal. quake stops after 1 minute. i tried wide number. didnt go thru. tried again. didnt go thru. still shaking. my CPU cabinet fell in front of me. false ceiling se dust girr rahi thi. i was on all fours. it died down a little. i told my company colleague who sits on my right - "lets do down man." we took the stairs to B1F and stayed there for some time. at that time, many people were still at their workstations. after some time we came out in open parking lot. constantly looking at nearby building and checking whether they are falling made some jokes n sh*t. then the ground began shaking. the ground. had never experienced that. all the time earlier, i could sense an earthquake only if i was in a building. but this time it was different. trees shaking. electric poles shaking. traffic lights shaking. f**k. again constantly looking at building nearby and checking. * the ceiling light is swaying again. i think this will go on for days now. these aftershocks.* half the people were still chilled out. saale kuch log starbucks mai ja ke coffee le rahe the. i think it was around 5 or 6 on scale in tokyo. we assembled in park for some time. then decided that it time to pack up and go home. went to building again. took my belongings and me+2 colleagues starting walking home using iphone maps. 15kms 3-4 hours i think. buying energy drinks from zillion vending machines on the way. took the bus also for some time, but it wasnt moving at all so got off. Suddenly the computer table startedd shaking. I was like wtf . At first i thought it was my cousin shaking my chair from behind , i looked back and he was fast asleep Then my dad shouted from downstairs that its an earthquake run out of the house. Dredd Posted March 11, 2011 Author Report Share Posted March 11, 2011 Take care dredd remember ps3 first women and kids later haha. surprisingly nothing fell at my homeplace. it was a different experience there. i think the experience depends on how old your building is. office bldg is old so foundation must be differnt. my home bldg is 10 years old i.e. new. so it swayed in circles. nothing fell. the only thing which fell was the cutting board which was kept on its short edge. it falls even in normal situations figurines -> ezio was predator, snake jungle fatigues was smooching snake sneaking suit. deadpool was there as i left it. and kratos i think didnt even shake when the quake hit. i packed kratos in original packing within an hour of my return saala! roj roj mujhe 25k yen nahi kharchne. the gas was (is) down, so we made cold sandwiches with cheese and tomato slices and green chutney (the mixie's working, so).
