playstation
Today's Sculpture Artist--Made of Wire Messes Mattia Trotta- Italian Artists. Trotta starts from a skeleton of steel wrapped around with wire. One by one, these wires are tangled and compacted to fill the casing. As a skilled tailor who, with needle and thread, sew a dress that fits perfectly on the body, Mattia Trotta with iron creates a kind of dress that can give fullness and thickness to thought and emotion, as he himself says: "Every wire and twist is given a reason to exist.” Brought to completion the iron figure undergoes further treatment with acid to prevent corrosion and to extract the natural shades and colors of the wires. playstation
Today's Sculpture- Made Of utensils Subodh Gupta is an artist based in New Delhi, India. His work encompasses sculpture, installation, painting, photography, performance and video. Gupta chooses signature objects of the Indian sub-continent such as stainless steel cooking utensils and tiffin-boxes, and relocates them as art objects in monumental installations. The following installation named Spill is an overbearing work of great scale that has at its centre a larger than life stainless steel water vessel, with many smaller steel utensils spilling over the edge like water pouring out. Subodh Gupta was born in 1964 in Khagaul, Bihar, India. He studied at the College of Art, Patna (1983 – 1988) before moving to New Delhi where he currently lives and works. His work has been prominent in major international biennials and has been the subject of numerous solo exhibitions across Asia, Europe and America. playstation
Todays Sculpture -Made of Wires Gavin Worth: self-taught artist, illustrator and designer.Sometimes the aim should just be a simple complexity. The wire sculputures of San Francisco-based Gavin Worth, whether of a body of a woman or just a simple pair of hands, are elegantly done and appear effortless. Worth says of this work, "By bending black wire into something of freestanding line drawings, I create sculptures that engage the viewer by involving them in their subtle changes. When the light in the room shifts, so does the mood of the piece. A breeze might softly move an arm. My wire sculptures tell stories of simple human moments: a woman adjusting her hair, a face gazing from behind tightly wrapped arms, a mother gently cradling her baby. The honest, unguarded moments are the ones that I find to be the most beautiful." NSFW WOW!.....
