A must buy for Home theatre Lovers. These days they sell homes with a theatre room....Lol You are right. The standalone players usually have much higher quality components inside compared to the consoles. Its similar (but not identical) to the situation with the PS2 which also came with DVD playback capabilities. Within a year, standalone DVD players were blowing the PS2's DVD playback quality out of the water. So yes, standalone players should surpass the PS3's Blu Ray playback quality eventually. BD LIve has nothing to do with downloading BR movies. And try and avoid discussions on piracy unless you are making a stand against it or some valid points on the state of the scene.
