'Pranay
Word on the street, or rather on job listing site Gamasutra, is that Remedy’s hiring for a new Xbox 360 title. According to the listing, the Finland-based studio is currently looking to hire a Lead Level Designer to join its “AAA console team” on a new “Xbox 360” title. The listing suggests that the game will have a heavy focus on “compelling narrative and intense action” and that applicants should be well-versed in “drama and storytelling”. While it’s hardly confirmation, the bet would be on a sequel to 2010’s Alan Wake, which was also an Xbox 360 exclusive. Though the game saw lackluster sales during its first two weeks, selling only 145,000 units according to NPD Group, one of the game’s writers Mikko Rautalahti previously stated that the story is “bigger than one game” and that the sequel (if made) would be both “weird and wonderful”. The psychological thriller sees players step into the shoes of author Alan Wake, as he desperately try’s to save his wife from the mysterious darkness that’s engulfing the small town of Bright Falls, where the couple are vacationing. The game combines intense action, intuitive gameplay and compelling storytelling, with the player’s primary weapon being light. In addition to the above, the April issue of OXM’s (Official Xbox Magazine) rumor section is carrying the following intriguing statement in quotation marks: “Yes or no for Alan Wake 2? We shook The Ball and it said, “It looks promising”. Last month at GDC Remedy’s Markus Maki stated that while Alan Wake’s exclusivity to Microsoft’s platform was a “business risk” it was also one that helped the developer stay focused. http://www.gamesecto....box-360-title/

Aftrunner
Even though I found the first one to be mediocre I will admit it had potential. For that alone it deserves a sequel.
Bulovski
The first one had a good premise, but they shouldn't have stretched the game in parts.

Aftrunner
Doubt it. It reads like they are making new content. But they also say that only a small team is working on this. Doesnt exactly read like Kinect AW. My guess would be a Halo ODST type thing. A large-ish expansion pack + the original game + the DLC.
Right
My first thought was it could be PC version dug out from the grave...even stand-alone expansion makes sense. But the main game hasn't sold enough to warrant either of these, it has hit bottom of the bargain bin in fact. They are selling DDL coupon for 7$ or something on Amazon. playstation
Alan Wake News Piquing Interest Of PlayStation 3 Owners It sort of seems impossible in the surface, but we like to remain optimistic for PlayStation 3 owners. Yes, we all know Remedy's involvement with Microsoft concerning the Alan Wake IP means PS3 fans are out of luck. We're not quite familiar with all the details of that agreement, though, and after the recent Alan Wake announcement, some journalists and insiders are wondering: how should we interpret the words of Remedy franchise development chief Oskari Hakkinen? "We are really excited about this project which a slice of our team has been working on for the last months. It's something that'll definitely give more to the Wake fans out there, but just as importantly, this installment will also give an opportunity for players who aren't familiar with the franchise to finally jump on board." Okay, so maybe it can't mean anything outside of the Xbox 360 realm. Hakkinen could just be talking about the rest of the 360 crowd who didn't appreciate the first title...and God knows, there were a great many of those. But even so, there are a whole lot of questions out there, especially because we know next to nothing about this project. They say it isn't a sequel and it isn't just add-on content for the original. Soooo...what is it?http://www.psxextreme.com/ps3-news/9046.html OMG!...it is coming to pc.......WOOOOOOOOOOOOHOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO!...i know its pc....coz Microsoft will never allow it to come on ps3.....even if it is PC...it is superb news.
