With 8 GB RAM, Crytek will have to move their lazy arses less to optimize the game. Also, they should be stressing about use of Blu Ray as compulsion instead of RAM. spindoctor Posted April 18, 2011 Report Share Posted April 18, 2011 it's amusing that tech savvy folks such as yourselves make statements like "who needs 8gb ram?". 6 years ago sony and microsoft decided to put in 256/512mb ram on their systems and look where we are today... you go to buy a new computer today and the defacto standard is 4gb ram. what do you think the standard will be in 2020, when the next gen of consoles are 6 years into their lifecycles?
