@Godspeed

Thanks, those are a bit on the higher side. Will check further. There are decent 2 star ones available. I just need to find out which ones r ok. I dont need a pool, or even breakfast the next day. Reg snorkelling, i believe a day's worth of snorkelling would cost 800-1000 baht. Thats what i read online only.

@achilles

With South-East Asia if you are with a bunch of guys, you make it a very frugal trip. Food and stay is ridiculously cheap. Generally its a cheap trip. We have to have a budget. Otherwise impossible to plan the trip too. I've read of western tourists managing to keep their expenses before $50 day. But thats a bit too basic. So fixing it a little higher to enjoy the water sports.

Placees ive narrowed down to Bangkok, Pattaya and Ko Chang islands. Cant make it to the southern part that includes Ko Samui, Krabi and Phuket. We'd need to catch a flight for that, plus in 6-7 days u hardly have much time anyway.

I would suggest you go for the one with the breakfasts, coz if you guys are going bachelors, the strategy would be to stuff yourself heavy for a late breakfast and completely skip the lunch

yeah, and from what i have heard, its cheaper to stay as well as shop in Thailand (lower tax compared to bangkok, not sure, my friend said it). I would most likely go there by this year end, and if not this year end then the early 2012, might as well grab the i5 if it gets launched there by that time.

Indian winter clothes are no match for the US winter . No point buying from here. Just take thermals from india and buy proper warm winter jackets and all in the US . Christmas and new years sale will be on too there !
