Congrats. Switzerland is awesome!

Check out these places/stuff/to-do things.

  • Contra Dam bungee jump and Interlaken skydiving.
  • Jet d'Eau - you will never need another selfie spot.
  • Thermalbad & Spa - expensive but amazing.
  • Rimini Bar - great spot to enjoy.
  • Bellinzona castles.
  • Rhine River cruise.
  • UNESCO Vineyard at Vevey.
  • Wildnispark - if you fancy seeing animals. Oldest wildlife park.
  • Limmat-Schifffahrt boat trip - glass roofs which offer a different view of the city from the bottom up.
  • Lake Lugano - glacial lake which is situated on the border between southern Switzerland and northern Italy. Great view.
  • Jungfraujoch - one of the best views in the world. Book tickets early.
  • CERN - don't need an explanation. Guided tours in English at 11 am & 1 pm Mon-Sat.
  • Haus Hiltl - if you a vegetarian.
  • Olympic Museum in Lausanne.
  • Kapellbrücke - nice spot to visit at dusk.
  • Hammetschwand Elevator - tallest outdoor elevator in Europe.
  • Sphinx Observatory - historic Observatory at the top of Europe.
  • Visit Chur - officially the oldest town in Switzerland.
  • James Bond restaurant - you will need to take a series of trains and cable cars to get here but it will be worth it!
  • Cathédrale de Notre Dame - free 40-minute guided tours run July through September.
  • Geneva is super expensive. But you can always go for window shopping.

The list goes on. Explore fully, visit caves (plenty good ones), take bike tours, paddle around, swim, hike, eat cobblestone chocolates, etc. If you have a phone, do install lonely planet app. Very nice and useful while travelling.

Oh, and, eat your heart in Swiss cheese.

^^anyplace you would recommend....

How long are you going for?

I read you are going for work, which would probably mean you have only weekends free to really explore other places than your base city.

I have never been to Switzerland and the post above seems to have a good enough list from the looks of it.

If you want tips for Italy or Greece, let me know.... :)
