Hot-Drake-Pixel
Vista is not a prerequisite for media sharing and steaming between PC and PS3. http://www.tversity.com/home This is what you are looking forl

maint
tried everything but the ps3 gives no media server detected msg. i am using a crossed lan cable to directly connect the ps3 to the pc. pinging the ps3 gives a response , but no further recognition between the 2 systems.
