Maximus Posted April 29, 2011 Report Share Posted April 29, 2011 Ubisoft might have accidentally spilled the beans on the next game in the Assassin’s Creed series, one in which you may jump back into the role of Altaïr. Take this all with a grain of salt for now, but a developing thread on the NeoGAF message board says that Ubisoft posted a Flash file containing the game’s logo and the name Altaïr, in Arabic script, to the official Assassin’s Creed Facebook page. The Facebook post is gone for now, but the evidence remains in the form of an image and a Flash file, both still sitting on Ubi’s servers, that reference an upcoming reveal of the game. The original poster also claims to have found a logo inside the Flash file, shown above, naming the game Assassin’s Creed: Revelations. Interesting, that name: As another NeoGAF poster pointed out, in 2012 Konami will release the Silent Hill: Revelation movie, and Capcom’s upcoming 3DS game is Resident Evil: Revelations. AC1 with the new gameplay mechanics and improved graphics would be awesome. i don't like the idea at all. the first game left a bad taste in my mouth, and i wouldn't want to repeat it. not to mention that it would be repeating an old idea when there are so many possibilities with new periods/characters they could go with. and going with altair would mean they are reusing assets again, which is the flipside of a yearly release schedule. not bad in itself but it would be nice to see a fresh setting. I think AC3 will be next year. that was for desmond's story, which will continue regardless of which ancestor he plays. making another game with ezio (or altair) would be a mistake at this point imo. they should put out ac3 this year with a completely new historical timeline.
