^^No.

You can view the psn store from your pc but can't download anything to it.

As far as i know it's not possible to even copy demos to external drives.

i think the backup and restore option works i.e. backup a friend's ps3 hdd to an external drive and restore it at your place :ranting:

OR buy OPM UK (1000-1200 bucks) - features a BR demo disc with every issue.

From what I've found yet, there's a slightly convoluted way of doing this on the PS3. It involves using a PS3 Proxy Server, which runs on your pc, through which your PS3 will connect to the internet, i.e. the PlayStation Store. You browse the store normally through the PS3, but when you start downloading a demo (which I believe is a .PKG file), the proxy server app gives you the direct URL to that pkg file on your PC. You can then use the PC to download the PKG and keep it on your PC. Subsquently, whenever you need to get that demo on the PS3 again, you browse the store and go to the download page again, but this time, you give the PS3 proxy server the location of the .pkg file on your hard drive and it will stream that to the PS3 locally, i.e. no actual PS store download is necessary.

This is just crummy, that's why I haven't done it yet. I'm waiting for someone to come up with another version of this PS3 proxy server that caches the .pkg / .p3t etc files automatically and uses them the next time.

This might be of help: http://ps3mods.blogspot.com/2007/02/downlo...tion-store.html
