SEOUL, South Korea, May 3, 2011 /PRNewswire-Asia/ -- World Cyber Games Inc. (WCG), organizer of the premier international video game competition and festival, announced today Busan Metropolitan City, South Korea as the WCG 2011 Grand Final host city. As the official host city for the WCG 2011 Grand Final, elite gamers from all around the world will flock to the Busan Exhibition & Convention Center (BEXCO) this December to compete for the title of world's best gamer.

 

In bringing the Grand Final to South Korea after 8 years since 2003, WCG has made its final decision on Busan, which has been increasing its international reputation in opening many global events like film festivals and motor shows.

 

"Busan is expected to be the hub city of games and culture by bringing WCG along with G-star," said Nam-Sik Hur, Mayor of Busan Metropolitan City. "We will do our best in welcoming the international delegates for a successful WCG 2011 Grand Final."

The WCG 2011 Grand Final will be held from December 8th (Thursday) to December 11th (Sunday).

 

This year's line-up includes popular titles 5 different genres. Especially this year, WCG included the world famous StarCraft® II: Wings of Liberty™ as well as the World of Warcraft®: Cataclysm™in the line-up, as the first MMORPG title in WCG history. Tekken 6, one of the most popular fighting games will thrill the cyber fighters. League of Legends, which was presented as promotion game title last year in WCG, is back again as an official game title and is ready to gather all AOS enthusiasts. On the other hand, best shooters in the world are ready for a treat. Three FPS games, Counter-Strike 1.6, Crossfire, and Special Force are in this year's line-up.
