dylanjosh
Next Assassin's Creed game to be Desmond's "grand finale" Ubisoft is planning for more Assassin’s Creed games, wouldn’t you know it. After finishing up the storylines of master hassassins Altair and Ezio in this fall’s Revelations, it’ll be Desmond’s turn to take center stage.According to Ubisoft Montreal’s Alex Amancio, the next game will be “the grand finale of the Desmond cycle.” “Assassin’s Creed Revelations is the end of the Ezio cycle and the Altair cycle, and it really sets up what’s to come from the grand finale of the Desmond cycle,” the creative director told IGN in an E3 video interview. Wild guess: it’ll be out in the fall of 2012 and developed by eight Ubisoft studios? We’re taking bets. Many fans speculated that the 2012 game would put an end to Desmonds story. Looks like we finally have confirmation although its not actually said whether it'll be the next game or not :/ Btw they mean the next game after ACR. Maximus
No Desmond? Interesting! Hope they wont take the franchise into a futuristic era. That would kill it.
dylanjosh
It's already in the future But no, I think they'll be focusing on other assassins throughout history, maybe ditching the modern day story altogether. I wouldn't mind.

Maximus
Ubisoft reaffirms plans for Assassin's Creed III amidst details of the franchise's increasing scope and Ezio's legacy in it. Comic-Con Coverage In another news, Revelations will be having side missions containing all the multiplayer characters, with a detailed back story. Though, they are only fine tuning the Multiplayer experience, no major changes (none required), the only introduction being that of the hook blade for quicker travel. kaka_messi
Assassin's Creed: Embers hits November 15 A 20-minute animated short film will be free with GameStop preorder of Revelations, or available separately on Xbox Live, PlayStation Network. On November 15, Assassin's Creed: Revelations will wrap up the story of Ezio after three games that have followed the Italian rapscallion since his birth. The game will have some help in bringing Ezio's tale to a close, as Ubisoft has announced it will arrive alongside Assassin's Creed: Embers, a 20-minute computer-animated short film that serves as a companion piece to Revelations. Embers follows Ezio in his later years, living with his wife and children and the fear that, one day, someone will try to hurt them. The short uses assets taken directly from the game as part of a Ubisoft project to improve its asset pipeline for creating projects such as this. The short film will be available as part of the Assassin's Creed: Revelations Signature Edition at GameStop. The Signature Edition also includes an extra multiplayer character, single-player mission, and soundtrack. Gamers who preorder Revelations from the retailer will receive a free upgrade to the Signature Edition. Gamers who aren't interested in the Signature Edition will still be able to download Embers from Xbox Live or PlayStation Network for a price yet to be determined. dylanjosh
November ? Say bye bye to sales ubisoft ! All Assassin's Creed games have released in November, and done very very well. It caters to a different market than Shooters or RPG's so MW3 or Skyrim really not a threat. UC3 might be the only real competition but that's only on PS3. Thats the Ubi we know and love. Make a game with shitty storyline thats going no where after 3 iterations. Then make a spinoff short cinematic and try to charge people to watch it. Zeehunter
Assassin's Creed Revelations 'Collector Edition' joins Animus Edition in UK CVG reports that not only will the UK receive the previously revealed "Animus Edition" of Assassin's Creed: Revelations, but a second collectible bundle as well. The "Collector Edition" differs from the Animus Edition in that it contains an artbook and soundtrack instead of an encyclopedia, and leaves out the in-game Armor of Brutus and capacity upgrades. Oh, and it's £49.99 for Xbox 360 or PS3, instead of the Animus Edition's £68.99, as listed by retailer GAME. The Animus Edition is available from the UK's Ubishop site. Oh, did you want the artbook, soundtrack, and encyclopedia? Don't worry -- you don't have to buy the game twice. The Ubiworkshop is selling the encyclopedia.
