Maximus
^^ Gamespot Asia is not a vendor. Any reputed IVG vendor should be having this, if its true. A 2199 Special Edition would be awesome.
dylanjosh
So they may be ditching the yearly release model after the Desmond saga concludes. (ie the game after ACR) I hope this allows them to make a sequel to PoP08. That game had tons of potential, and I feel a proper sequel could be done, just like what AC2 was to AC1. "In Assassin's Creed we set up a timeline with this whole end of the world plot of December 2012," Assassin's Creed: Revelation creative lead Alexandre Amacio told Eurogamer. "That's fast approaching, and the story we have to tell, we obviously need to do it before we arrive at that point." Ubisoft Montreal has created four main games since the Assassin's Creed series debuted in 2007, and 2009's Assassin's Creed 2 has enjoyed two follow-ups in quick succession with last year's Brotherhood and the forthcoming Revelations. "We had such a complex and strong narrative that we ourselves did our best to just try to execute these games before that date," Amacio said. "It would be stupid of us to be centring a game on a semi-reality and then have that conclusion happen after that date in real life." Beyond the conclusion of Desmond's tale, Assassin's Creed will likely return with an all-new lead character. "Assassin's Creed is all about cycles - we have the Ezio cycle and the Altair cycle, and both of those are set to conclude in Revelations and we have the Desmond cycle, which is set to end on December 2012," said Amacio. "But there's many cycles within the brand - that's the whole point. History is our playground." However, a shift in approach to development at Ubisoft Montreal means that the quick-fire rate at which new games have been produced is likely to come to an end. "We're already structuring the way we do Assassin's Creed, so it will no longer ever be like that," said Amacio. "Our development approach is changing so our cycles aren't structured the same way - so it gives us a little bit more development time." http://www.eurogamer.net/articles/2011-10-03-first-details-on-2012s-assassins-creed

Aftrunner
Ugh PoP 2008. The only thing worse is the degrading AC series. The forgotten sands, now there is a game that deserves a sequel.

The forgotten sands, now there is a game that deserves a sequel. forgotten sands was joke compared to SOT series. let not forget the worst voice acting period for sot games. pop2008 was an amaing expeirence on the other hand. they need to work on enemys and puzzles.the game was so damn beautiful.amazing ost,fun platforming,gr8 voice acting and lets not forget one of rare friendly AI that works in perfect sync. i am waiting for sequel. Big Boss
pop2008 was an amaing expeirence on the other hand That was a piece of crap and no where near an amazing experience. Pathetic platforming, f**ked up combat and all done repeatedly over and over to make people pull out their hair. Forgotten sands sorta redeemed the POP series, but that was also an half assed effort. lightUTSaber
lol good to ppl appricate good quaility games. i agree lack of enemies and puzzles was bad. but the combat and platforming for really good. the chain of combos was nicely done. yes at points i did miss rewind power, but the platforming with tiles was really fun,not to mention the platforming while fighting wizard for last time. plus it was very fluid. also many a times,i would just stop at places and look around,so much beauty. the royal palce garden were really amazing during night times. the tree of life partly in dark partly light was something to behold. Tyler
It's also one of the best games for getting wife/gf into gaming IMO... the casual pace and forgiving difficulty is perfect for beginners. Also the "save" mechanic isn't any different from having checkpoints. It basically does the same thing, puts you back on the last stable platform. Although I can also see why hardcore platformers were annoyed with the game.

CarbonCore
Yeah PoP 08 did everything right except platforming and combat. The gameplay was about as fun as watching paint dry, it was just one long-a*s series of quicktime events.
