Online Shopping : deals and discussion thread

Seriously. Stop doing this.

I agree it is annoying but necessary, multiple threads were merged into the flipkart thread because the e-retail scene is much more varied and that had to reflect.

Piper and Me. Put the donkey at the back. :P

I ordered it chronologically, I changed it first and Piper did it later.

What's with some of these deals? As soon as Asus Fonepad became live within 5 seconds it went to 100% claimed. Something is fishy here.Either we are dealing with incredibly low stocks or is it something else.

Atleast they showed that, unlike a certain other e-commerce company.

Also don't expect the good deals to last long. There are lakhs of people browsing the site at any given moment and when they see a good deal everyone pounces on it.

Actually since Amazon show what products are going to get discounts in advance, prospective buyers are ready. The moment the clock hits 7:00:00 or 8:00:00 or whatever, they refresh the page, put the product into their cart and checkout.

Now if they'd show us the actual number of stocks instead of %, that's be great.

I think only retailers tied up in the Amazon fulfilled programme have their stock being listed at the low prices. And they either have limited stock or were pressured by Amazon into offering a certain amount of stock at low price.

Agreed, although an arbitrary value like percent would be favourable to them and would likely be continued.

Their delivery timetables and discrimination on the basis of Cash on Delivery vs. pre-paid mode is also appalling. Took a week for a book to arrive, which flipkart would have done in less than 3 days. The cost difference though is ridiculous. -_-
