phreak
Huh. Season's greetings to you and your family, We started Flipkart way back in 2007 when there were a lot of questions around the state of e-commerce in India. We have come a long way since then. And we owe it all to your unwavering support and encouragement. To celebrate Flipkart's journey, we are going to have a sale to end all sales. The Big Billion Day Sale is on the 6-10-2014....and the date is no coincidence. The day 6-10 marks the number of the flat we started out from. And holding India's biggest ever sale on that day is our tribute to dreams and dreamers. It's also our way of making sure all our customers dreams come true.. On this day, you will have over 70 categories to shop from, with flash sales, deals of the hour, lucky draws every hour and unprecedented offers and discounts to look forward to. 10,000 of our dedicated field staff are already geared up to make sure that your deliveries make it to you on time. With The Big Billion Day Sale, Flipkart is out to eclipse all other festive multi-day sales over just one single day! The big day is just around the corner - so join us as we begin the countdown. We want you to be a part of this event, when, come October 6th, Flipkart forever changes the way India shops. Warm regards, Sachin and Binny

Yeah would be nice but no mention of such products in the teaser video...But hope they list them in the sale... Which brand is best for that?? ALPHA17
^ I generally prefer Transcend for external but Western Digital is also good, especially its warranty and after sales. For internals, pick up any available, they are equally good or bad.

jackthesnake
To all those people who are eagerly waiting for the flipkart's "Billion Day" sale. Here is some ground reality. https://www.facebook.com/flipkart/posts/10205152391835293 They are actually increasing the price of all the products and are planning to sell them at the reduced prices. So, apparently the big bubble of "billion day" sale has busted. GG Agree, but then why to create such a hoopla about it. i mean founders of the company are sending promotional e-mail to every other person thumping their chest, singing songs of their glories and asking us to become a part of their big fraud day. i really, seriously and sincerely hope that flash sales must have something interesting in them. Keyofx
Some of those items may have been on limited-time offers. Freak coincidence that their offers ran out in time for the sale, I guess? I can see plenty of items in my wishlist that are still discounted.
