They can't have enough units on sale to please everyone in any case. Wrong. As I said before the products which had discounts in the range of 10_15% is fine. But 90% off deals were shady. Not to mention the whole issue of automatically deleting the order or removing stuff from the cart. The redmi 1s was removed from the cart when I went to make the payment. Do u think any company who advertised for lakhs and with the prestige like flipkart would accept that they fell short of a billion worth sales?? Estimated delivery date is Thursday. I was looking at Lego Technics and those kits were discounted 40-50%, which they've never ever been. A 20K model was going for 10-12K, which is a pretty huge discount. I think they messed up operationally as well. They really needed additional capacity so the site remained accessible and their payment gateway wasn't timing out so much. This shows the level they dropped down to , just to get some hits on their website. I would have straight away filed a case against them in consumer forum had this happened to me. PR nightmare. I doubt they set out to scam people, though. It was probably just a system/capacity problem again.
