Black Ops lag issue

Hey guys,

Now i am totally frustrated with my online gaming, not sure whom to blame :ranting:

I have a 512 kbps unlimited plan and having ZTE modem with BSNL connection (Having it wired now).

For the past 2 days i have been playing Black Ops with just one red point and it is really not interesting that way.

Can someone let me the complete settings that i need to do in my modem and my PS3, i want to configure it right from the beginning ... Your help would be much appreciated :clapping:

Goto your router's home page & set a static ip address & put it in DMZ.

Now use that very static ip in your PS3 Network settings.

Also, try using google dns servers

8.8.8.8 Primary

8.8.4.4 Secondary

Do a network test & see if you get a type 2 connection.

Quick check: On your black ops Multiplayer interface, does it say NAT Type: Open?

If yes, then I'm afraid there's not much you can do because BSNL is known to have terrible pings.

Tried exactly as u told me, NAT is open (Saw it in the game menu) and played a game and the connection varied from one point to 2 points ... But, mostly gameplay was not so good :( had a lot of lag :(
