we're committed or 'roka'-oed :)

honestly speaking..... I dont really believe in the the functions itself r just a ceremony for the girl & her family, & i think it's just a BIG free fund ka expenditure.

ideally i'd be married in court with the immediate family & throw a nice celebratory bash, & invest the dough being blow away. i mean i cld buy a big freegin flat with wht the bills coming too man

Oh Man.. You said it..

I so agree with that Point of View.. I would rather spend that money with my guy travelling to exotic locations for the next 40 days.. All those Saarees and jewellary etc are such a waste.. not to mention inviting hundreds of relatives that you don't know or care about anyway.. a dozen close friends , some close relatives and the spouse and ofcourse the pandit .. and u are set for wedding ..

Doing a court marriage and throwing a subtle reception for close ones is also a brilliant idea..

Nice try. You're flying me to your wedding first class and buying me Tarun Tahyiliani, and there's no way you're going to get out of it!

Shaadi Ki date bhi nahi hai, Aur Barati pehle aa gaye.. :roflroll:

Since I am a Hindu, Let the parents and relatives and Padosi's (as mentioned in the earlier post) first agree to get me married to :kisstogether:

And why should I be flying you First Class to attend my wedding, you have not even given me reference of one guy worth dating in the last one year :threatenlumber:

Shaadi ki date nahin hain tho kya baat. That it will happen is confirmed.

Parents, relatives and padosis bhi tumse aashirvaad de doongi. Woh bhi confirmed hein.

Mein reference nahin de doongi, mein tumhari personal agony aunt hein. Settling for first class ticket & tarun tahiliani is letting you off lightly. Mere saath ek Sundar ladka doondle please. :P

For 4. Yeh to tragedy hai my friend.. Sundar Ladkaz are either extinct, married or gay..

^Agreed the expenses are pretty hefty at Indian weddings. But from what I've observed, the lavish spendings are a way for the parents of the couple to flaunt (in a good way) their standing among their community.

Think of all the games one can buy if even one of the wedding events is toned down... :P

bhai....it's plain & simple show-off, no good way flauting

i mean seriously man......aadhe se hi home loan ki zaroraat nahi padegi

but anyway, to each his own :) firm believer in this too. they're welcome 2 do & gift wht they like to their daughter, but not one penny apart from the ring & bare essential shaagan to me :hi:

So from what I gather, Jugs and KZ123 are on the list of 'soon to be ex-bachelors'. Correct?

Roll call for anyone else whose marriage date is set? Maybe some of us at IVG can pool in and gift them some 'couple-type' games :P
