Is it possible to game after Marriage. Some women [esp my Family and Friends] most of em when my Mom complains I spend too much time on playing games they all burst out of laughter and say "GROW UP".You're still immature and always call me a toddler and say to me Video Games are a fascination of Cry Babies.

I think they're assuming that playing video games means I'm playing Pinball and Tetrix.

Lol at the last post. You can game post-marriage as long as your spouse is okay with it. The opinion of your parents or other 'aunties' is irrelevant.

Not abt Parents and Aunties. Most of em are my cousins and friends abt my age [4-5 years older] and it is pretty much irritating when they take my Passion as a Joke.PS I have never seen a women whose okay with Gaming except on IVG.My brother stopped Gaming after a series of quarrels with his Spouse.

I'll still go with what I said earlier : "You can game post-marriage as long as your spouse is okay with it."

Seriously, man. Some people feel gaming is a bad way to spend your free time. I used to game very rarely and bought a PS3 after being married for more than 2 years. My wife sometimes feels concerned that I game too frequently, but once I point out that I'm spending a good amount of time with her, and gaming only when she is busy then she realises it is kind of a hobby.

I mean, people have been collecting stamps and coins with an obsession and that is lauded as a 'creative hobby'. But if someone becomes a Colonel in Battlefield, then that is kids work? Not true.

Just love the people around you and no one will question your (gaming) pasttime.

Realization of a married enthusiast/gamer :

(i) Bid adeu to competitive multiplayer gaming.

(ii)You are lucky if you can manage more than an hour of gaming a week

(iii)You are always in a financial crunch, so the most viable upgrade from a dead GTX 280 will be a HD6850.

(iv)You are suddenly conscious about electricity bills and make do with a Core2Duo.

(v) You play Alice-Madness Returns as its the only title the missus takes some interest in. FPS and Racing sims are a blasphemy and could induce household violence in real-time.

(vi) An INR 1.5k game title is an absurd buy whilst an INR 3k flower vase is a steal deal.

(vii) Rise in petrol prices hampers your plan for that SB upgrade.

(viii)The internet is a shopping mall for the lady.

(ix) The big @$$ LCD TV that you bought to enjoy your games and movies (heck you paid a premium for that Full-HD model just for the same) is used to display agonizing soaps and reality shows in shitty SD.

(x) Your Sidewinder X6 and G9X are covered in dust and grime.

(xi) After a year or so, you find yourself struggling with any game, your skills have taken a hit, your fingers ache after an hour long session and you wonder how you managed to do that all day just a few years back.

(xii) Your OS has not been reinstalled in 2 years and there are more than 20 installed games (some more than a year old) with level of completion ranging between 2% and 10%.

(xiii) The fans in your cabby cranks and whines to life every time you switch on the PC, reminding you that your "dabba" is now a relic of the past.

(xiv) You are unaware of current market prices of HW. You live through new releases of both Games and Hardwares through reviews and discussions. You have no content to add to them whatsoever.

(xv) At work, as you troll through forums, you realise that the world has moved on(without you).

(xvi) You no longer get ill when a anticipated game arrives at your place suddenly.

(xvii) All your PL's are no longer utilised to clear that backlog of games

(xviii) You start reading some shitty magazines for game reviews where reviews are posted 1 month after the release.
